Vacuum Glazing

To improve the energy performance of this magnificent building in Amsterdam, FINEO by AGC was chosen for its renovation. The existing glazing was replaced with FINEO vacuum glazing. Thanks to its thinness, similar to single glazing, it fits easily into most existing frames. A total of 192 panes were inserted into the original wooden frames. As efficient as triple glazing, FINEO offers high insulation performance, significantly reducing energy bills while delivering optimal thermal and acoustic comfort. Thanks to FINEO, this building now has increased energy performance and a higher property value, while retaining its unique charm.

For this project, FINEO Hybrid was used to reach unprecedent performances in terms of thermal insulation and acoustic. Belliard street is a highly frequented road, leading to unpleasant noise pollution. Thanks to FINEO Hybrid, it was possible to achieve very high acoustical attenuation in a limited thickness, allowing to increase the space inside the building.

For this restoration project of a private house in Zeist, 14 FINEO vacuum glazing units were supplied and installed. Where necessary, the existing glazing rebates were deepened to ensure a seamless fit for FINEO. Happylift systems were also installed, making it significantly easier to open and close the windows. Additionally, draught sealing was applied to improve the indoor atmosphere and reduce heat loss. This combination of high-quality vacuum glazing and practical enhancements has significantly improved the insulation of the building for better thermal and acoustic comfort. This restoration was made possible thanks to FINEO vacuum insulating glazing ; the thinness of single glazing for the insulation performance of triple glazing ! Its exceptional features allowed it to keep the original frames of the building and thus its authentic charm while adding better energy performance.
