Our Product & Market Manager FINEO by AGC, Clément Lemoine, held a conference on « Vacuum Insulated Glazing: Innovations, Applications, and Overcoming Design and Legal Challenges »
Vacuum Insulating Glazing (VIG) just like FINEO by AGC consists of two panes of glass hermetically sealed around an evacuated cavity, which is maintained by microscopic support pillars. Its principal strength is its exceptionally low thermal transmittance (U-value), drastically reducing heat transfer by virtually eliminating conduction and convection. This allows VIG to achieve thermal performance superior to triple-glazing but within a much thinner and lighter profile.
