Escher Museum

Escher Museum

In the heart of The Hague, a former 18th-century royal palace, now a listed building, has been home to the Escher Museum since 2002. Our FINEO by AGC vacuum glazing was chosen for its renovation. The goal was clear: to renovate a listed building while preserving its historical value and improving its energy performance, thereby having a positive impact on the environment. Thanks to FINEO, mission accomplished! FINEO has the thinness of single glazing while offering the insulation performance of triple glazing. Its unique characteristics allow it to be integrated into most existing frames. It is 100% recyclable without dismantling (no lead or metal) and CE marked. Our FINEO Heritage variant was chosen for the renovation of this sumptuous building. With its traditional stretched glass finish, our vacuum glazing blends in perfectly with the building's aesthetics, preserving its historic charm. In this project, the original wooden frames of the Escher Museum have been preserved, as has the authentic aesthetic of the building. Now more sustainable, the Escher Museum benefits from reduced energy bills and offers increased thermal and acoustic comfort, perfect for museum visitors.
