Oude Molstraat is one of the oldest historic streets in The Hague. Here you will find this charming house typical of the Hofkwartier neighbourhood. FINEO vacuum glazing was chosen for its renovation due to its exceptional and sustainable characteristics. As thin as single glazing, it could be easily integrated into the original old wooden frames. As efficient as triple glazing, it provides this building with exceptional thermal and acoustic insulation. Thanks to FINEO, this listed building now enjoys increased comfort and lower energy bills, while retaining its authentic charm.

For this project, FINEO Hybrid was used to reach unprecedent performances in terms of thermal insulation and acoustic. Belliard street is a highly frequented road, leading to unpleasant noise pollution. Thanks to FINEO Hybrid, it was possible to achieve very high acoustical attenuation in a limited thickness, allowing to increase the space inside the building.

Transforming 2,800 square metres of office space into a single open-plan environment t required reopening galleries and walkways and creating a fire compartment of more than 1,000 square metres. In such a densely built-up area in the historic centre of Amsterdam, fire resistance had to be integrated into the historic façade rather than inside the building itself. This was the only way to achieve an open compartment of this size. Working closely with the architect and the client, AGC provided Pyrobel Fineo, a slim, heritage-compatible glazing solution that combines 60 minutes of fire resistance, excellent thermal insulation and burglary protection within a thickness of just 26 mm. Thanks to this collaboration and the innovative glazing solution, the former church has now reopened, preserving its historic openness while meeting the highest modern safety and performance standards.
