More possibilities with FINEO. FINEO fulfills any project need, from restoration requirements to new construction performances.
This private residence has been superbly renovated by replacing the 31 existing single-glazed windows with FINEO vacuum glazing, 12 of which are shaped. Owners now enjoy absolute thermal and acoustic comfort, as well as plenty of natural light, in a building that has retained both its wooden frames and its authentic charm.
For this project, FINEO Hybrid was used to reach unprecedent performances in terms of thermal insulation and acoustic. Belliard street is a highly frequented road, leading to unpleasant noise pollution. Thanks to FINEO Hybrid, it was possible to achieve very high acoustical attenuation in a limited thickness, allowing to increase the space inside the building.
The Stahlhaus in Dessau, Germany, is an experimental house that is emblematic of the Bauhaus movement. Built between 1926 and 1927, it represents a pioneering attempt to use steel as the main material for housing construction, with a view to industrialising and modernising housing. Now restored, it is recognised as an important milestone in the history of modern architecture. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and can be visited. For its restoration, FINEO vacuum glazing was chosen to replace the existing glazing without affecting the original structure of the house. It now benefits from improved thermal and acoustic insulation. Thanks to FINEO, the Stahlhaus is now part of history in a sustainable way.
