Vacuum Glazing

Oude Molstraat is one of the oldest historic streets in The Hague. Here you will find this charming house typical of the Hofkwartier neighbourhood. FINEO vacuum glazing was chosen for its renovation due to its exceptional and sustainable characteristics. As thin as single glazing, it could be easily integrated into the original old wooden frames. As efficient as triple glazing, it provides this building with exceptional thermal and acoustic insulation. Thanks to FINEO, this listed building now enjoys increased comfort and lower energy bills, while retaining its authentic charm.

For this project, FINEO Hybrid was used to reach unprecedent performances in terms of thermal insulation and acoustic. Belliard street is a highly frequented road, leading to unpleasant noise pollution. Thanks to FINEO Hybrid, it was possible to achieve very high acoustical attenuation in a limited thickness, allowing to increase the space inside the building.

Diligentia is a theatre located on a historic street in the heart of The Hague. The restoration of this listed building, dating from 1645, faced certain constraints, notably because the original wooden frames could not be replaced. That is why FINEO vacuum glazing was chosen for its restoration. Thanks to its slim profile, it can be easily fitted into most existing frames. A total of 104 FINEO units were installed in the original wooden frames, which were then restored. In order to best preserve the building's unique aesthetic, the FINEO Heritage version with its traditional drawn glass finish was chosen. As effective as triple glazing, FINEO has also enabled this building to improve its thermal and acoustic insulation for optimal comfort. Today, the Diligentia has been completely restored thanks to FINEO and now enjoys improved energy performance while retaining its unique charm.
