The Society of Façade Engineering (SFE) and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineering (CIBSE) have joined forces with Zak to co-located the SFE Façade Awards and Dinner with the Zak World of Facades London conference for the second year running.
The conference, taking place on 8 November 2023 at the Hilton Park Lane, London, brought together close to 1,000 professionals from across the globe and represented one of the largest gatherings of the sector. The awards took place after the conference and was judged by an expert panel and was presented at a high-profile award dinner, attended by leaders across the industry.
The Façade 2023 Design and Engineering Awards recognise and reward excellence and achievements in façade engineering, raising the profile of, and drawing attention to, the importance of this discipline.
Thank you to all the FINEO and AGC teams for this fantastic recognition!
Fineo provides a relevant answer to a previously unattainable problems when it comes to renovating our European old inefficient building stock: FINEO can be easily installed in existing frames - simply remove the existing first generation single or double glazing and replace it with FINEO, provided of course that the frames are still in good condition
For new construction, the increasing demand for energy efficiency in buildings requires intelligent and innovative solutions in terms of sustainability, technology and design, on which FINEO paves the way.
At a time when the focus is on the European Green Deal and carbon neutrality, and when energy costs are at an all-time high, FINEO enables a new generation of high performance windows to be designed and existing windows to be retrofitted with the most efficient and greenest glass technologies available, all at a reasonable cost. This makes FINEO both an ecological and economical solution.
This major breakthrough in the energy transition of buildings is enabled by FINEO, which won the Belgian Energy and Environment Award 2019 in the Sustainable Energy category.
About the Society of Façade Engineering:
The Society of Façade Engineering was formed in 2004 as a joint initiative of CIBSE, IStructE and the RIBA. It is governed by a Council drawn from among its members and administered by CIBSE.
The Society of Façade Engineering brings professionals together in a forum where they can work together to advance knowledge and practice in facade engineering, promote good practice and ensure that today's increasingly complex building façades meet the many and varying performance criteria. In particular, it addresses the complex issues in building physics of thermal insulation, ventilation, lighting, solar control, and acoustics.
